TSA Foster Parents Named "2018 Foster Care Provider of the Year"

A special congratulations to TSA foster parents, Les and Linda Wiener and Travis and Jennifer Wiechman who were chosen to receive the “2018 Foster Care Provider of the Year” award presented by AspireMN, an association of private child caring agencies from across Minnesota.

This prestigious award is designed to recognize an outstanding example of special people who provide foster care. The selection criteria for the award is based on exemplary commitment to youth and their families, a willingness to advocate for youth in their care and for active participation in education and training.

The Case Management Team (comprised of professionals who support foster families in their care for foster children) from Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. nominated the Wieners and the Wiechman’s for this recognition, referencing the nomination as “two generations of foster families”, as Les and Linda Wiener have been fostering since 1991 and their daughter and son-in-law, Jen and Travis Wiechman, have been foster parents since 2005. TSA has had the privilege to work alongside these amazing families as they have cared for a combined total of 40 foster care youth. In addition, the Wiechman’s have adopted two children. These two families represent foster care at its best. The Wieners and Wiechmans have focused their care and commitment to children and families by providing safety, support, respect, partnership, acceptance, opportunity for growth and healing, and honor to those they welcome into their homes and family.
