Janet Mason, MSW, LGSW

Janet Mason is a Mental Health Practitioner who received her Masters of Social Work degree from St. Catherine’s/St. Thomas University.  Janet also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication from Brigham Young University.  She is currently on track for clinical licensure for her LICSW.

Prior to obtaining her MSW graduate degree, she worked in the domestic violence field as an advocate in a women’s shelter as a sexual assault advocate.  She also spent three years, concurrent to her work and graduate studies, working as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for Ramsey County, MN.  Currently she works providing in–home family based mental health services in the metro counties.

Due to her extensive volunteer experience as a foster parent and an advocate for vulnerable children and their families, she has an interest in serving families in crisis, and especially families with children that have a traumatic history.  She particularly enjoys providing family integration services for children who are being reunited with their parents, or who are in pre-adoptive placement.
