Lainie Janke, MSW, LICSW
Lainie Janke is a Licensed Mental Health Professional and is the Executive Director at TSA. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth and also received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Lainie has practiced in the field of mental health for over 26 years, has been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) since 2004, and is a Board approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor, providing Supervision to staff and interns. Lainie’s professional experience has included work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups and families. She has provided services to diverse populations in Minnesota and has provided a multitude of services that include Diagnostic Assessments, psychotherapy, case management, skills training, crisis response and management, training services and public speaking. Lainie is formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Managing Adaptive Practices (MAP), Developmental Theory and Attachment work. She has developed specialty in training on topics relevant to foster care and mental health, including Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Therapeutic Environments and specialty trainings by request. Lainie is also a Dare to Lead™ trained professional. Lainie has experience providing leadership and supervision a variety of behavioral health environments that have included acute inpatient hospitals, outpatient services, and forensic correctional facilities with a focus on civil commitment. Professional highlights include clinical administration/operations and leadership at TSA, administrative and leadership experience in state government, and administrative and leadership experience in corporate health care. Lainie’s passions in her work include Child Welfare/foster care, policy, leadership and supervision, training, program development, and providing therapy.
