Karen Tyson, MA
Karen Tyson is a Mental Health Practitioner with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, from Bethel University. Karen is pursuing licensure as a professional clinical counselor.
Karen is currently working in the School Linked Behavioral Health program at North Branch Middle School. She has experience, working in multiple capacities, with children, adolescents, and young adults in residential, school and college settings. Karen takes a holistic approach to therapy integrating physical, social, and emotional elements into her work with clients. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, and Family Systems techniques to help clients increase self-awareness, develop positive coping strategies, and build resilience.
