Additional Information:

Children and teens who struggle with mental health problems affecting school, family life, peer relationships and social skills often benefit from Day Treatment. Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc provides Day Treatment where mental health professionals and practitioners provide an array of helpful services through a strengths based and relationally focused approach.

Group Work – The foundation of Day Treatment consists of structured group therapy and group skills sessions that occur daily. While the curriculum of groups is individualized to meet the needs of group members, all clients will be taught, practice, and apply essential pro-social and coping skills. In addition, youth will work towards increased knowledge of their mental health and learn ways to improve their daily living at home, school and in the community. Groups are age specific and include no more than eight members.

Individual Therapy – Individual Therapy is a crucial component to Day Treatment, as it where youth receive the most individualized care and work on underlying issues impacting their mental health and functioning in daily life.

Family Work – A cornerstone to success in Day Treatment is engaging the family in mental health services. We offer both family therapy and/or family skills in the client’s home or an office setting. The goals of family work are to address dynamics that may be impacting the youth’s mental health functioning and strengthen the family unit as a well-functioning support for all its members.

Professional Coordination – Collaboration with other professionals and/or agencies in a youth’s life is a hallmark of the Day Treatment program. We believe coordination of services is key to improving a client’s mental health. Day Treatment staff make it a priority to reach out to and coordinate with the child’s home school district, medical and/or mental health service providers within our agency and from neighboring agencies, county social workers, probation officers and any other key player parents, guardians or youths identify as important.
