Summer Programming

Description of Service: Therapeutic Services Agency, Inc. is pleased to provide summer programming for children and adolescents to make meaningful and learning experiences along with fun memories!! Summer Programming is available to all referred youth, regardless of whether or not they receive current mental health services at TSA at the time of referral. There are two components that make up Summer Programming at TSA - (1) Community Based Skills groups and (2) a fun afternoon activity in the community where participants practice and refine the skills they learn in group. Afternoon activities include strawberry picking, outings to the community pool, trips to local educational wilderness locations, learning how to make jam - and so much more!
Location:
- Based out of Hilltop House in Pine City and our Cambridge Office
- Afternoon activities take place throughout East Central Minnesota
Ages:
- 6 years old - 18 years old
- Youth are placed in groups based on age
Typical frequency of Services:
- Groups are 2 times per week - specific days of the week depend on location, age and maturity of the client
- Afternoon Activities are scheduled 1 time per week - specific days of the week depend on location, age and maturity of the client
- *Please note that a Diagnostic Assessment is required for group skills services*

- Arts and crafts projects, woodworking, gardening, photography, reading, puzzles, cooking (age appropriate), creating, imagining
- Leisure time experiences including basketball, swimming, volleyball, games, hiking and more
- Journaling and other guided, reflective experiences
- Activity Day (typically covered by County funding or out of pocket expense)
- Various weather-related activities that are out in our communities
